Louis Vuitton Albatross

LOUIS VUITTON ALBATROSS | Service Production
For the Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2021-2022 collection, creative director Virgil Abloh conceived Albatross — a campaign in which iconic LV bags were mounted on drones and flown high into the air, allowing viewers to experience the pieces in full 360 degrees accompanied by cockpit-style commentary on the collection’s inspiration.
U LA LA provided local service production on the ground in Tarifa, Spain, working alongside lead production company Louis 2, Paris, and photographer and filmmaker Ryan Hopkinson. Tarifa’s dramatic coastal landscape provided the visual backdrop for the campaign, but its famously strong winds — gusting consistently around 85km/h — created significant technical challenges for the drone work, requiring experienced local pilots and precise on-the-ground coordination to protect both the equipment and the product.
The result was a globally distributed digital campaign for one of the world’s most recognised luxury fashion houses, showcasing U LA LA’s ability to deliver complex, technically demanding productions in challenging Spanish locations to the highest international standards.
